Starbucks Fail

The title will be explained later in this post. I want to start by briefly re-capping my day at work today. It was pretty much like any other day. I got yelled at on the phone a lot and read a lot of mail. Just want to put this out there, to anyone who may call their congressional representative: (1) Generally speaking, you will be talking to an intern who is at most in their late 20's; (2) Said intern is probably not an expert on the issue you wish to talk about or the congressman's position on the issue; (3) If you don't give your name and at least the city you are calling from, your concern is much more difficult to pass on. Additionally, regarding mail, no matter how much you may want to yell at a congressman who doesn't represent your district, your mail will still wind up in your congressman's office. Now that that's out of the way, I did get one really funny piece of mail today. Without going into specifics, the constituent was urging the congressman (Braley) to support legislation that "was introduced by Rep. Bruce Braley (D-IA)..." Just thought it was kinda funny.

I did laundry today. It's kind of a pain in the butt because I have to lug it all the way down to the basement. Not to mention actually folding the laundry. Plus, I usually wind up with things that don't get completely dry or things that wind up wrinkled. That's my rant for the day.

Now to the blog's title. After class tonight, we decided that we wanted to go out and get something to eat or drink. Our first choice was Starbucks, which is just up the street. Unfortunately, Starbucks had closed at 8 and we didn't get there until close to 10:30. Then we went to Baskin Robins, which had closed at 10:30. We finally wound up at CVS, where we were able to get pints of ice cream.

I guess its been a pretty slow day in terms of news. Tomorrow is class and no work. I think we are going to the Supreme Court in the afternoon, but I'm not sure.

Later,

Jes
